Hi, I'm Nic, an optical lab technician turned graphic designer turned front-end developer turned product designer..
I specialize in crafting user-friendly products and brands with expertise in Figma, Webflow, Prototyping and brand design
I am a husband, father, and creative crafting user-friendly products and brands based in the Fort Worth. I draw inspiration from the simplest things in life, whether it’s
storm clouds forming, my kids’ sketches for their Illustrator creations, to watching my wife dream up a live event experience.
My time in the labs of small office optometrists taught me the importance of process and organization—eye-opening, right?
As a front-end developer, I gained the technical skills to design with development in mind while keeping my creative freedom alive in the digital playground.
Rebranding a 20+ year-old company has given me a deep respect for the past as a guide to shaping an organization’s future.
In my free time, you’ll find me in constant creation mode—whether it’s crafting memories, culinary delights, product concepts, or business ideas. I’m always on the hunt for knowledge, but it’s wisdom I’m after.
I strive to ensure every decision is made from a place where knowledge meets experience, showing my family that wisdom is the true cornerstone of a fulfilling life.
It started as small tweaks and noticing inconsistencies in the flames or the way the thin border gave an overall sense of frailty. I wanted the 15 year old (at the time) brand to share its stature in brand as well. Giving the color palette an overhaul gave the brand an extra kick of caffeine. This brand is currently ON FIRE!
The marketing site was my first contract with brushfire that eventually led to a complete overhaul AGAIN. Towards the end of 2021 we were poised to refresh again as the company found another gear in it’s marketing efforts.
This feature was long awaited and SO WELCOME to the customers of brushfire wanting to create their own events/registrations. Up to this point the company’s support team was responsible for setting up events/registration for clients.
As a response to the 2020 pandemic, the team rallied to create an online experience as we saw the event landscape shifting at light speed. We created a way to host events virtually while maintaining a level of connectivity and customization unmatched by products on the market at the time.
One of my final projects before transitioning was a refreshed UI for registrants. At the time the customer facing UI had been in place for years and brushfire was ready to give it a refresh. Technically ready, we gave the clients unmatched customization abilities with the option to embed your event registration directly into their marketing efforts.

port is a startup looking to im"port" your data from one ChMS to another. the custom P signifies the fluidity with which this product works.
ikonik came to me looking for branding and help with their UI for their platform. the mark is one of my favorites using the "play" button tucked in the (I & K) we had to keep the (I & K) they are so pronounced when you say their name.
Cross Timbers came looking for a website design and we urged them to explore refreshing their brand. This feels classy, modern yet mature.
